I believe that every child is a unique individual with his/her own opinions and imagination and we should create a caring and safe learning environment for them. We should create a caring and safe learning environment for them so that children can feel secure in their environment allowing them to express themselves. As an educator, I want to provide a safe and comfortable environment for children to discover what they are good at or not good at. During this time, I believe it is most important for children to develop in all areas while fostering their curiosity and ability to explore. It is also important to have patience with the children during the internship as some of them are not native English speakers and need to be explained to by the educator.
I believe that childhood is a crucial stage in life. When designing learning plans for children, I firmly believe that children learn through hands-on play and exploration. During my internship, I realized that consistently intervening in children's incorrect behaviors and correcting them, while providing appropriate assistance and encouragement during activities, is of great importance. During my internship at Lumenus, I deeply understood the significance of consistent intervention and assistance in helping children with autism develop good habits.Understanding a child's daily routine from educators is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into their personality, which in turn helps educators design learning plans tailored to their needs. When planning these activities, I emphasize open-ended environments and inclusive materials to meet the needs of every child, ensuring that each child feels accepted. I believe that open-ended and inclusive activities allow children to learn through hands-on exploration and play.
I believe that every child grows up in a unique environment, but regardless of their background, every child deserves access to quality education and care. As educators, it is our responsibility to help children embrace their unique experiences with courage. At my new internship, I have learned that most of the children do not speak English as their first language, and some come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Learning a new language and culture, and integrating into a new environment, can be a challenging process for these children. Therefore, we must commit to treating every child with tolerance and fairness, emphasizing their cultural backgrounds. Additionally, some children are sensitive to certain things, so we need to pay attention to each child's unique needs and protect them, ensuring they feel safe and belonging.
